THE SIXTH MONTH (MID-YEAR ANOINTING)

THE SIXTH MONTH

The sixth month in Scripture is associated with divine visitation, favour, breakthroughs, answered prayers, and the fulfillment of God's promises.
• Ezekiel received a divine encounter in the sixth month (Ezekiel 8:1).
• Mary received the announcement of Jesus' birth in the sixth month (Luke 1:26-28).
• Elizabeth's miracle pregnancy became evident in the sixth month (Luke 1:36).

WHAT THE SIXTH MONTH BRINGS

Divine Visitation – Ezekiel 8:1; Luke 1:26.
God visited Mary with a life-changing message.
2. Divine Favour – Luke 1:28,30.
Mary was called 'highly favoured.'
3. Breaking of Curses and Limitations – Galatians 3:13.
Through Christ, believers are redeemed from every curse.
4. Answers to Prayer – Luke 1:13.
 Zacharias' long-awaited prayer for a child was answered.
5. Scattering of Enemies – Psalm 92:9.
God fought for Israel against their enemies.
6. Fulfillment of Promises – Luke 1:36-37.
 Elizabeth received the son God promised.

THE OIL OF ANOINTING

The oil represents the presence, power, favour, healing, and consecration of God.

WHAT THE OIL OF ANOINTING DOES

a) Breaks Every Yoke – Isaiah 10:27.
Israel was delivered from oppression.
b) Heals – James 5:14-15.
The elders pray and anoint the sick for healing.

c) Creates a Different Path – 1 Samuel 16:13.
David moved from shepherd boy to king.
d) Brings Acceptance and Favour – Esther 2:12,17.
Esther obtained favour before the king.
e) Brings Remembrance – Genesis 8:1; Luke 1:24-25.
God remembered Noah and Elizabeth.
f) Answers Prayers – Luke 1:13.
Zacharias received an answer after many years.

EZEKIEL'S MID-YEAR ENCOUNTER

Ezekiel 8:1-5
1. The Lord's Hand Came Upon Ezekiel.
God empowered Ezekiel to see spiritual realities.
2. God Revealed the Root Cause.
Hidden sins affecting Israel were exposed.

RESULTS OF DIVINE VISITATION

A. The Impossible Became Possible – Luke 1:37.
A virgin conceived by the power of God.
B. People Returned to God.
Revivals throughout Scripture led people back to God.
C. People Reconsidered Their Ways – Haggai 1:5-7.
Israel corrected its priorities.
D. Divine Favour Was Released – Luke 1:28.
Mary received God's favour.
E. Elizabeth Was Remembered – Luke 1:24-25.
Her reproach was removed.
F. Enemies Were Scattered – Psalm 92:9.
God defeated those who opposed His people.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

This sixth month shall be my month of visitation, favour, remembrance, healing, answered prayers, and fresh oil.

Every yoke is broken.
Every enemy is scattered.
Every delayed promise shall be fulfilled.
The hand of the Lord shall rest upon me.
I receive fresh oil for the second half of the year.
